Detailed Itinerary for 14 Days Gorillas and Serengeti combo Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Uganda
Arrival at Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport to start your Uganda & Tanzania 14 Days Tour. You’ll be met by a professional safari guide who welcomes you and then transfers you to your booked hotel within Entebbe. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel.

Day 2: City Tour of Kampala
After breakfast, you will drive to Kampala, the capital of Uganda, for a city tour. During your visit, you can explore various attractions such as bustling city markets, grand cathedrals, the Kasubi Tombs (the burial site of Buganda kings), the Uganda Museum, or a local crafts market. Lunch will be served at an upscale city restaurant. Following lunch, your exploration of Kampala continues, and if time permits, you may also visit the Ndere Center to enjoy a performance by a local dance troupe. After the day’s activities, you will be transferred to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
On the third day of this Uganda & Tanzania 14 Days Tour, you will set off on a scenic drive to Kibale National Park for your first primate adventure. After breakfast, depart from your hotel and travel to Kibale National Park. The journey takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, though it may feel longer as you stop for lunch in Fort Portal and explore the tea plantations along the way. You will arrive at your safari lodge in Kibale in the evening.
Kibale Forest, often called “the primate capital of the world,” is home to a remarkable diversity of primates, with up to 13 different species, including a large population of chimpanzees, around 1,500 live here. Other primates you may encounter include black-and-white colobus monkeys, red colobus monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, and cheeked mangabeys, among others.
Check in at your safari lodge, then enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Chimps Trekking Experience in Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, set out on a chimpanzee trekking adventure in Kibale Forest National Park. This lush rainforest, home to over 1,500 chimpanzees, offers a chance to observe and photograph our closest relatives as they play, groom, and interact in their natural habitat. The trek begins with a briefing at the park headquarters, after which you will follow your ranger guide into the dense forest in search of the chimpanzees. The trek can last anywhere from 1 to 4 hours, depending on how deep into the forest you go.
Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend about an hour observing their playful and fascinating behaviors. After the trek, return to the lodge for a refreshing meal before continuing your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The drive takes approximately 2 hours, passing through the scenic crater areas. Arrive at the park in the late afternoon, check in at your safari lodge, and enjoy dinner followed by an overnight stay.

Day 5: Game-Drive and Boat Cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park
Start your day with an early morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park, offering excellent opportunities to observe a wide variety of wildlife. Begin with a sunrise game drive, where you may encounter members of the Big Five, including elephants, buffaloes, lions, and leopards, as well as warthogs and formidable predators like hyenas.
The park is also a haven for birdwatchers, with a rich diversity of species such as different stork varieties in the wetlands and flamingos on the salt lakes. After your morning adventure, return to the lodge for lunch.
Following a short rest, embark on a 2-hour boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, a 36 km waterway connecting Lake George and Lake Edward. On the cruise, you can observe hippopotamuses in the water, Nile crocodiles sunning along the banks, and warthogs nearby. After the cruise, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha
After breakfast, begin your transfer to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, renowned for its tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive across this expansive savanna, where you may spot elephants and topis that often lead lions to perch high in the fig trees. After the game drive and hopefully spotting the lions, continue your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Arrive in Bwindi in the late afternoon and check in at your booked safari lodge. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at the lodge.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Today you will experience the long-awaited mountain gorilla trek. Begin with an early breakfast, then proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing on gorilla trekking. Following the briefing, you will be divided into small groups of about eight people, each assigned a specific gorilla family to track.
Equipped with your trekking stick and gear, venture into the dense jungles of Bwindi to search for the mountain gorillas. The trek takes you through challenging terrain and thick undergrowth, but the reward of seeing these majestic giants in their natural habitat makes the effort worthwhile. After hours of trekking, you will finally encounter the gorillas and spend a full hour observing, photographing, and filming their daily activities.
Once your time with the gorillas ends, begin the trek back to the visitors’ center, where you will receive a certificate of participation. Return to the lodge for a refreshing meal before transferring to Lake Bunyonyi, renowned for its stunning scenery. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge, then enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast before setting off on the drive to Entebbe. Along the way, stop for lunch and take some time to stretch your legs at the Equator. Day 10: Fly to Kilimanjaro International Airport & Transfer to Manyara
After breakfast, prepare for your flight to Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, where your guide will meet you and transfer you to Manyara for an overnight stay. This will give you a chance to rest and recharge for the next adventure in the Serengeti. Spend the remainder of the day relaxing at your lodge in Manyara. Enjoy dinner and spend the night at the lodge.

Day 11: Transfer to Explore the Serengeti National Park
Today marks your first wildlife adventure in Tanzania as you explore the iconic Serengeti National Park. Begin with a 2 to 3-hour drive to the park, enjoying a short game drive en route to your lodge.
Upon arrival, check in and have lunch at the lodge. Afterward, set out on your first Serengeti wildlife safari. The park is famous for its vast savannas and abundant wildlife. You may encounter the “African Big Five” – lions, leopards, buffaloes, elephants, and rhinos – as well as large herds of grazing mammals such as wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles. Visit various areas of the park to maximize your wildlife viewing opportunities. After the safari, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 12: Experience Serengeti National Park
After an early morning breakfast, you’ll spend the morning exploring the vast Serengeti and we move from location to location in search of different wildlife. For those interested in witnessing the great wildebeest migration, you’ll have an opportunity to follow the migration trails. Later after your adventure, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 13: Serengeti National Park-Ngorongoro Crater
Today you will explore the Ngorongoro Crater, often called “Africa’s Eden” and recognized as the 8th Natural Wonder of the World. Famous for its stunning landscapes and dense wildlife, the crater is often described as the world’s largest natural wildlife sanctuary.
In the afternoon, descend to the crater floor, where you’ll be captivated by the incredible number and variety of animals and bird species. From our pop-up safari vehicle, the viewing opportunities are endless, with countless directions and species to observe. Experience the thrill of spotting members of the Big Five amidst this spectacular setting.
As the day winds down, reflect on the extraordinary journey and the remarkable wildlife wonders of East Africa. After your adventure on the crater floor, return to the rim and your safari lodge for the evening.

Day 14: Transfer to Arusha / Kilimanjaro & Flight
Wake up and enjoy breakfast at the lodge. After breakfast, start your drive back to Arusha. This drive will take about 4 to 5 hours, arriving at Arusha in time for lunch. Enjoy lunch and after transfer to the airport to catch your departure flight back home.
