Detailed 10 Days Great Migration and Primate Safari itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali
Arrive at Kigali International Airport to start your c10 Days Great Migration and Primate Safari. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed and received by our representative who then briefs you on the upcoming tour and transfers you to hotel in Kigali. You will spend the rest of your day relaxing at your hotel to kill the jetlag.

Day 2: Kigali Tour & transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, drive to the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about the tragic events that happened in Rwanda before continuing to Uganda. Drive to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will experience you gorilla trekking. The drive from Kigali to Uganda takes about 4 hours on the stunning country sides of both Rwanda and Uganda. Arrive at Bwindi in the late afternoon and proceed to your booked safari lodge.

Day 3: Mountain Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Following an early morning breakfast at your lodge, depart for the park headquarters. Join other visitors for a gorilla trekking briefing, you’ll be given all the necessary information about gorilla trekking; the dos and don’ts regarding your gorilla trekking. After briefing session, you’ll be allocated a gorilla family to trek.
Its time to delve into the jungle to search for the endangered gorillas in their natural habitat. Although the trek is really challenging, you are guaranteed of finally locating the gorillas in their natural habitat and this will simply make you forget the hustle you went through to get to them. After locating the gorillas, you will spend about one full hour thrilled and observing the gorillas, there are plenty of opportunities to take photos and film for memories.
Later after trekking, return to the park headquarters from where you proceed to your lodge for relaxation and if you wish you can go for a community visit or cultural tour to find out how the locals live and to enjoy cultural performances. Later return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Bwindi – Kigali – Nairobi, Kenya
After breakfast at your lodge, embark on a transfer back to Kigali International Airport in Rwanda where you will connect to your flight to Nairobi, Kenya. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon and transfer to your booked hotel where you will relax, have dinner, and have an overnight stay.

Day 5: Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve
Wake and have breakfast, after, embark on a transfer to Masai Mara National Reserve. The drive from Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve is about 4 hours through the scenic countryside. You’ll pass through the stunning and scenic Great Rift Valley with a brief stopover to admire the breathtaking views and optional shopping at the curio shops.
Continue with your drive, making another brief stop at Narok Town for refreshments and to use the restrooms before proceeding to Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive at the lodge in the afternoon and check-in.
Have lunch at the lodge and spend the rest of your day at leisure, enjoying the facilities the lodge has to offer. You will then embark on a game drive in the magnificent Masai Mara National Reserve. During the game drive, keep an eye out for both the African Big Five and the spectacular wildebeest migration. Later after your game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6: Game Drive in Masai Mara National Reserve to View the Great Migration
After a morning breakfast, depart the lodge with your packed lunch boxes for a full-day game-viewing safari in Masai Mara National Reserve. You’ll explore the Mara plains for opportunities to witness wildlife and birdlife. Expect to encounter the African Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, and elephants) giraffes, hyenas, cheetahs, and wildebeests among others.
Visit various wildlife hotspots in the park. As it near lunch time, take a break for a picnic lunch at a scenic and safe spot. After lunch, continue with your safari in the park. Later return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Today following breakfast, depart your lodge and drive to the Isebania border with packed picnic lunch boxes. Day 8: Serengeti Game Drive
Following an early morning breakfast, embark on an unforgettable sunrise game drive in the park. Enjoy the sun sets fire to the savannah as you go in search of big cats on the hunt for their morning meal. After the morning safari and wildlife viewing, return to the lodge and enjoy a short rest and lunch.
After lunch, you’ll spend the rest of the day out on the plains of the Serengeti searching for the Big Five among other animals. As you explore the kopje, you’ll see some of the world’s most iconic wildlife against the open plains and the big sky of Tanzania’s crown jewel.
Return to the lodge after your adventure for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 9: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, check out, and drive through the beautiful high-lying farmland of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Arrive and descend into the crater for a full day exploration of the Ngorongoro Crater with a packed picnic lunch. Ngorongoro is home to a diverse array of animals including elephants, black rhinoceroses, leopards, buffalo, zebras, warthogs, gnu (wildebeests), and Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles. The crater floor is also home to one of the largest lion populations in the world. Later after your safari & wildlife viewing in the crater floor, ascend to the crater rim where your lodge is located for dinner and an overnight stay.
