Detailed 9 Days Uganda gorilla &Tanzania Safari itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from Entebbe and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Very early in the morning, your safari driver guide will pick you up and transfer you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park to start your 9 days Uganda Gorilla & Masai Mara Safari. This long journey to the southwestern part of Uganda takes you through the stunning countryside as you drive through different towns, witnessing the natural sceneries and the beauty of Uganda that give it bragging rights as the pearl of Africa. Lunch will be enjoyed enroute. You’ll arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the late afternoon and proceed to your lodge.

Day 2: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi and community visit

Wake up early in the morning, ready to experience the long-awaited gorilla trekking. Start your day early in the morning with breakfast at your lodge. After breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing, where you’ll be given all the necessary information about gorilla trekking, the dos and don’ts regarding your gorilla trekking. After the briefing session, you’ll be allocated a gorilla family to trek with and ranger guides.

From here, you’ll grab your hiking stick and delve into the jungle in search of the endangered gorillas in their natural habitat. Although the trek is really challenging, you are guaranteed to finally locate the gorillas in their natural habitat, and this will simply make you forget the hustle you went through to get to them. After locating the gorillas, you will be thrilled, and you will enjoy observing the gorillas, of course, not forgetting to take photos and film for memories.

Later, after trekking, return to the starting point from where you proceed to your lodge for relaxation, and if you wish, you can go for a community visit or cultural tour to find out how the locals live and to enjoy cultural performances.

Day 3: Transfer to Entebbe & fly to Tanzania

Enjoy breakfast at your lodge before embarking on your journey back to Entebbe, from where you’ll board a night flight to Arusha. You’ll arrive at Arusha and drive to your booked hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area in Tanzania

After breakfast, check out ot the hotel in Arusha and transfer to Ngorongoro from. This journey is about 5 hours through the scenic countryside. Arrive at the Ngorongoro in time for lunch and proceed to your booked safari lodge.

Lunch will be served at the lodge and after lunch, you’ll spend the rest of your day relaxing at the lodge as you prepare for your next adventure. Dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 5: Go for a full day game viewing in Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After an early breakfast, go for a full-day game drive in Ngorongoro Crater for opportunities to witness different wildlife species. The crater floor is one of the most wildlife-concentrated regions in Tanzani,a and visitors here always have plenty of wildlife viewing opportunities.

For those who wish to witness the great wildebeest migration in Serengeti, you’ll follow the migration route for opportunities to witness the large herds of these mammal grazers. The migrating mammals usually attract large numbers of big cats, including lions, leopards, hyenas, and leopards, that come to take prey on the weak and vulnerable migrating mammals. Spotting big cats on this adventure is guaranteed and if lucky enough, you might even witness them as they hunt down their prey.
