Visit Nairobi National Park, just a short drive from the hotel, for a distinctive game-viewing experience where wildlife roams with the city skyline as a backdrop. You can also participate in an animal-feeding experience at the Giraffe Centre or visit the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to observe baby elephants during milk feeding or playtime. Return to the hotel and enjoy a relaxation stay.

Day 2-3: Visit a private concession bordering Amboseli overlooking Mount Kilimanjaro

The following day, you will be transferred to Wilson Airport for a light aircraft flight to the Tortilis Camp airstrip, located on a private concession adjacent to Amboseli National Park. This intimate lodge sits on a peaceful hillside, shaded by a forest of Acacia tortilis—the tree for which the camp is named. Its iconic umbrella-shaped canopy has become a symbol of the African savannah.

After settling in and unpacking, enjoy a buffet lunch on the deck before setting out on a late afternoon game drive. The leisurely exploration of the reserve concludes with sundowners, offering stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro as the sun’s final rays illuminate the peak. In addition to game drives, the camp offers exceptional guided nature walks, including specialized bird-watching excursions in the wetlands.

On your last day at the camp, begin with a bush breakfast in a nearby clearing immersed in the wilderness. Afterwards, visit the Amboseli Elephant Research Centre, a highlight of your stay, where you can learn about ongoing conservation efforts supporting the park’s well-studied and flourishing elephant population.

Day 4-6: Witness the Great Migration in Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will take a flight to Keekorok Airstrip in the Masai Mara, where you will spend three nights in authentic tented accommodations at Sand River Masai Mara. The camp is ideally situated along a secluded riverside, shaded by a cluster of trees within the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve. Enjoy year-round wildlife viewing with scheduled game drives timed for the best opportunities to spot animals.

With a guide, you will explore a variety of landscapes, from open grasslands teeming with zebras and impalas to riverine forests where hippos and crocodiles inhabit the waters, and wetlands where birds diligently build their nests. You will also have the chance to witness the seasonal wildebeest migration, as massive herds cross rivers and floodplains in search of fresh grazing areas.

Back at camp, relax on your private deck with a dedicated butler attending to your needs. Private dining under the stars is also available, offering exquisite cuisine paired with fine wines from the camp’s cellar for a truly memorable evening.
