This Day 15 Safari will enable you tour four Countries that’s Rwanda Uganda Kenya and Tanzania, if you wish you can as well track Gorillas in both countries, but you will basically visit Lake Ruhondo and Bulera in Rwanda plus some cultural tour and then track gorilla gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in Uganda. A game drive plus a boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth, Maasai Mara in Kenya, Winding up in Tanzania visiting Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Parks.
Full Safari Itinerary
Day 1: – Transfer to Volcanoes National Park – Iby’wachu cultural village :
On arrival at the airport your will be met by your safari guide who will drive you straight to the Volcanoes National Park, some 116km from the Kigali city centre. You will traverse the lush country side dotted with undulating hills that have qualified Rwanda as a land of a thousand hills and arrive in Ruhengeri where you will spend the night. You will have lunch and after a short relaxation visit either the Iby’wachu cultural village for a detailed account of the Kinyarwanda culture dating from the pre-colonial era or go for nature walk to the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera for a scenic view. Day 2: – Golden Monkey trekking & crossing to Uganda:
You will have an early breakfast and assemble at the Kinigi Park Headquarters at 08:00am for briefing by the park rangers about the conduct of golden Monkey trekking activity. You will set off following the set trails to the lush volcanic forest full of birds, abundant flora, fauna including golden monkeys, elusive elephants and buffaloes and scenic sights of the volcanic peaks seen through the forest gaps. The trek involves great hiking through the varying terrain which makes it an attraction in its self. You will spend one hour with the Golden Monkeys after which you will have a picnic lunch and later drive through the Virunga Volcanoes into Uganda. You will have a stopover at Lake Bunyonyi before heading to Bwindi for dinner overnight at Broadbill Forest Camp FB
Day 3: – Gorilla trekking in Bwindi:
You will have an early breakfast and be driven to the Park Headquarters for a briefing about what to do and not do while on a Gorilla trek. After the briefing, you will set for the trekking in very thick vegetation. Trekking gorillas in Bwindi- Uganda is quite challenging as it involves moving over rugged terrain of steep slopes and valleys. The jungle is very lively with rich forest sounds. The trek ranges between 2 – 8 hours and you have one hour to stay with the Gorillas once sited, depending on the time it takes you we can add Batwa cultural trail experience in the evening. Day 4: – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth:
After breakfast set off for Queen Elizabeth, through volcanic formation of the western Rift Valley towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. The descent reveals a stunning panorama of lakes George an Edward amidst game-filled plains where you will reach in the afternoon check in and have some rest as you wait for an evening game drive, dinner and overnight Elephant Hab Lodge/Baboon Safari Resort.
Day 5: – Game drive and Boat cruise :
Wake-up early morning have breakfast go for the game drive of where you will see so many animals like lions, leopards, giant forest hog, buffalo, elephants, deffasa, water buck, topi, Uganda kobs are so many and bush buck it takes 3/4hours later return at your hotel for lunch relax and in the afternoon go the unique boat cruises that takes 2hrs on the Kazinga channel and onto Lake Edward. The trip passes through possibly the highest hippo concentration in Africa and many mammals may be seen drinking water. The cruise offers the excellent platform for photography and game viewing. The birdlife is colorful and abundant. For dinner and overnight return Elephant Hab Lodge/Baboon Safari Resort.
Day 6: – Transfer to Lake Mburo for an afternoon boat and nature walk:
You will depart Queen after breakfast for Lake Mburo National. The drive takes 3-4 hours with stopovers at areas of tourist attraction, You will have lunch at the lodge reserved for you, after which you will go for an afternoon boat trip on the lake rich with a variety of animals such as hippos and crocodiles and bird species. It will take you hours, in the evening take a nature walk before you retire for dinner and overnight at Eagles Nest/Arcadia Cottages (Mid-range).
Day 7: – Game drive and transfer back to EntebbeAirport to fly to Nairobi:
You will have an early morning game drive through the park in search of plain game like zebra, hippos, crocodiles, eland, antelope, impala and a variety of birds. After you will depart for Kampala arriving in the afternoon in time for transfer to the airport for you’ evening flight to Nairobi Kenya, where you will meet our guide and transfer you to Wildebeest Eco Camp Karen BB .
Day 8: – Nairobi/Masai Mara National Reserve :
On this day you will be met by our safari guide at your hotel/residence and after full briefing depart for Masai Mara-descend into the Great Rift Valley with scenic views of Mt. Longonot and the Menengai on a clear morning. You will have stop overs at the viewing point for photo shoot
A further morning drive that takes you the famous Masai land and Narok town, arriving Masai Mara on time for lunch
12h30: Lunch at Rhino Tourist Camp
Dinner and overnight at Mara Leisure Camp/AA Lodge FB.
Day 9: – Maasai Mara National Reserve (Full Day) Hot Air ballooning safari (Optional) :
This day will be full spent in the Mara on a full day game drive. Game drives and timings are best planned by clients and their safari guide. Choose to do a full day with packed lunches or half day with a visit to a Masai village/boma

Maasai Mara National reserve is viewed as Kenya’s most spectacular wildlife reserve. With a vast wilderness stretching out to over 1500 square kilometers, the park is home to an abundant array of wildlife The rain that falls on this great park is pretty much spread out through the year, ensuring the sustenance of the large number of game that frequent the park. The Mara reserve offers the rarest of moments to see the cycle of life come full circle: The lush green vegetation nourishes the park’s numerous herbivores such as the gazelles, zebras, antelopes and giraffes; the herbivores on the other hand become a source of life for the many predators that roam the park. This includes the big cats such as lion, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and many more. On a lucky day, you can get a chance to catch live action as a coalition of cheetahs take down gazelles, or see a pride of lion hungrily feasting on their latest catch.
Day 10: – Masai Mara National Reserve/Nairobi & Departure :
A pre-breakfast game drive at Masai Mara National Reserve (06h30-09h00) later return to the lodge for breakfast and depart for Nairobi with packed lunch. A drive that takes you through the famous Masai land and the Great Rift Valley with scenic views, have stop-overs on the way for photo shoot and souvenirs
12h30: Lunch at a picnic site on the way
A further afternoon drive as you ascend the Great Rift Valley and arriving Nairobi late afternoon/evening where you will be dropped at your hotel in Nairobi Wildebeest Eco Camp Karen BB.
Day 11: – Travel from Nairobi to Arusha:
After breakfast you will head to via Namanga Kenya-Tanzania border after clearing proceed to Arusha where you will reach in the afternoon, check in at Green Mountain Hotel, you will later go for a brief Arusha City tour before returning to Eileen’s Inn Lodge or Patamu Lodge for dinner and overnight BB.
Day 12: – Arusha-Tarangire:
Depart Arusha and begin driving toward Tarangire, Tanzania’s third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees dwarf the animals that feed beneath them as animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply to the area. View a diverse selection of wildlife including: Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs and up to 6000 elephants. Enjoy your lunch box at the picnic point. Experience a game drive, then dinner and an overnight at Maramboi FB .
Day 13: – Tarangire to Serengeti:
Enjoy breakfast, drive to Serengeti passing the Ngorongoro Conservation Area Authority. Your driver will stop at Ngorongoro so that you can experience the amazing view overlooking the crater. Then, continue to Olduvai Gorge, the most important pale anthropological site in the world. A picnic lunch will be provided by your driver followed by continual game viewing until you reach your camp for an overnight Katikati FB.
Day 14: – Serengeti to Ngorongoro:
Early in morning after breakfast, game drive and game viewing in Serengeti national park where you expect to see lots of the animals. Serengeti which is 14763sq km big derived its name from Maasai Language meaning endless plain. Therefore is home to many animals including Lions, Elephants, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebra, Leopard, Cheetah, warthogs, Hyena plus a lots and lots of bird life. In many cases migration is taking place around Serengeti and at that particular time millions of wildebeest and zebra are mingling together followed by predators. Picnic lunch will be provided inside the park then drive to Ngorongoro crater rim for overnight at Farm House FB for dinner and overnight.
Day 15: – Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha:
Today you will descend 2000 feet (over 600 meters)to the floor of the crater for a half day crater tour with picnic lunch. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkey and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food. The Ngorongoro crater is the only place where you can spot the big five animals in a day if you are much lucky, other animals found in this beautiful crater are Jackals, wildebeest, elands,
Hyenas and grant gazelles. Picnic lunch will be provided. Mid-afternoon drive straight to Kilimanjaro International Airport for flight to back home.
