Full Safari Itinerary for 8 Day Spirit Of Kenya Safari

DAY 1: Nairobi

Meet and greet at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and be transferred to your respective hotel for an overnight in Nairobi

DAY 2: Travel to Samburu National Reserve

Wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast, prepare yourself then set off to Samburu national reserve, crossing the equator and driving through the changing terrain of northern Kenya, it’s a photo delight, and you will reach late noon time and enjoy an afternoon game drive. Samburu National Park is famous for its elephants and several other wildlife species that occupy its vast landscapes. Check in at the lodge and enjoy lunch.

After lunch, embark on a game viewing tour in the park for opportunities to see lions, leopards, and ”the Samburu special five” the Grevy’s Zebra, Reticulated Giraffe, Somali Ostrich, Gerenuk, and Beisa Oryx. After go back to your lodge, your dinner, and spend  an overnight at your lodge in Samburu.

DAY 3: Full day Samburu National Reserve safari 

Early in the morning, have your nice breakfast, and later proceed for an early morning game, it will take you half a day. Later, come back for your lunch, relax a bit, and later in the late afternoon/evening, enjoy the game drive. Later, your dinner and an overnight at your lodge at Samburu

DAY 4: Samburu Reserve and Mount Kenya National Park;

Wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast, drive to the foot of Mount Kenya; enjoy an afternoon walk with glorious mountain vistas and the ancient rainforest. Dinner and overnight at your lodge in Mount Kenya National Park

DAY 5: Mount Kenya National Park – lake Nakuru National Park

Enjoy breakfast at your lodge and travel to Lake Nakuru, where you can explore this extraordinary safari destination on a safari game drive.  Lake Nakuru is famous for its millions of flamingos that flood the lake shore however, there is also plenty of wildlife to see here. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park before driving to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 6: Lake Nakuru National Park – Masai Mara National Reserve

Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast later drive across the floor of the Great Rift Valley and arrive at your lodge in the Masai Mara National Reserve. A safari to Kenya without a visit to this iconic Reserve is considered almost incomplete. Masai Mara Nationa Reserve is known for its incredible wildlife numbers including the Iconic African Big Five (lion. leopard, rhino, buffallo, and elephant) and the spectacular wildebeest migration.

You’ll arrive in Masai Mara and check in at the lodge. Have lunch and a short rest before embarking on an evening game drive. Explore the vast plains of the Mara before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 7: Masai Mara National Reserve

Wake up early in the morning, have your breakfast set off for an early morning game drive, which will take youfor  some good hours. For those interested in witenessing the iconic wildebeest migration, today offers the best opportunity. Explore various areas of the park for opportuinities to spot different animals. Return to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch and a short rest, embark on another afternoon game drive in the Mara. Later return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 8: Transfer to Nairobi 

Wake up in the morning you’re your breakfast after set-off back home you will arrive in Nairobi around midday and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your return flight
