Full Safari Itinerary 4 Day Rwanda Great Apes & Culture Tour
Day 1: Arrive at Kigali International Airport
On arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be met by your driver/guide and transferred to your hotel in Musanze, arriving for your overnight stay at Amikus Hotel

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Departure to Volcanoes National Park headquarters to join other travelers for a gorilla trekking experience. The experience starts with a briefing and allocation to different gorilla groups before you actually indulge in the forest to search for the mountain gorillas. Go Gorilla trekking in the Volcanoes National Park. Once you spot them, you are allowed to spend an hour watching your closest long-lost cousin. This is perhaps one of the most breathtaking wildlife experiences on earth!
You get so close to these awesome giant primates. You stare at each other blankly, not knowing who to break the long silence first. Tracking the gorillas through the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virunga is a magical experience. After your allocated time with the gorillas elapses, trek back to the park headquarters and then continue to thelodge for a refreshing meal. After lunch, go for a cultural tour to immerse yourself and discover new ways of life away from those at home.

Day 3: Lake Kivu Excursions
After Breakfast, drive to Lake Kivu, which is the second deepest lake in Africa after Tanganyika. The drive is only one hour between the town of Musanze and Gisenyi. On arrival, check in at Parades Marahide.
Enjoy water sports on Lake Kivu or go for coffee and tea tours, bike tours, historical-cultural sites, community-based tours, project tours, take a boat Trip to the Islands of Lake Kivu, make a visit to the BRALIRWA industry, and go forward to see the hot spring inthe Nyamyumba sector.

Day 4: Historical – Cultural Site Tours Of Kigali
Start historical-minded exploration of Kigali city with visits to landmarks from colonial, post-independence, genocide and post-genocide times i.e. Kigali Solaire, Stade regionale, Kigali Genocide memorial site where over 259,000 genocide victims were put to rest in mass graves, Dr. Richard Kandt Museum who was the first Germany explorer to settle in Kigali, Belgian camp where they killed the 10 Belgian UN soldiers who were protecting the moderate prime minister before the start of genocide etc. Transfer to the airport.
