The Equator Line in Uganda, Kayabwe
East African Jungle Safaris will take you on the adventure of a lifetime to the equator line in Uganda. Here, you’ll be able to experience the warmth of an annual warm temperature and feel the exhilaration that comes with knowing you’re standing in the middle of the world
The Equator runs perpendicular to the sphere’s axis of rotation. It’s an imaginary line that can be seen on Maps to mark the point of equidistance from the North and South Pole; it divides the Earth into the Northern Hemisphere and the Southern Hemisphere. Here, days and nights are equal in length throughout the year and sunsets and sunrises occur incredibly quickly. There is little distinction between the seasons, and the temperatures are incredibly warm throughout the year. While visiting Kenya and Uganda, you may experience milder or cooler temperatures when exploring the Mountain ranges or visiting the gorillas.
Kenya and Uganda both have equatorial temperatures and weather. They experience two rainy seasons, from April to June and October to December, however visiting the regions during this time will only make them cooler; it won’t affect travel or your experience.
Being able to stand on the equator is a privilege only a few have the opportunity to experience as the line passes through central Africa, South America and several Islands; Seas mostly cover the imaginary line. East African Jungle Safaris will take you on an adventure across the equator, allowing you to stand on the centre of your map of the world and bask in the warm temperatures and tropical climate of and Uganda.
All western Uganda bound tourists stop over at the equator point to enjoy a meal, feel the eaquator warmth and take memorable picture. Most of our tours and Safaris include this part in the itinerary.
