Detailed 3 Days Kidepo Valley National Safari

Day 1:  –  Kampala – Drive to Kidepo Valley National Park :

Have an early Breakfast and drive to Kidepo National Park using the shortest (656 km) route, which will take you from Kampala – Soroti – Kotido via Amuria to the far North-East, where Uganda borders Kenya and Southern Sudan. Travel time from Kampala to Kidepo National Park is about 9 Hours. Lunch will be enjoyed en-route. Arrive in the park in late afternoon and proceed with a drive to your booked safari lodge or camp. Check in at the camp, where you’ll be spending the rest of your night. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

You will have an opportunity to view some of the Park animals and birds found close to the camp during the evening hours.

Day 2:  –  Explore Kidepo Valley National Park (Game Drive, Scenic Viewing, and Community Walk):

After an early morning breakfast, embark on a morning game drive to Kanangorok hot spring. Where a variety of animals and birds can be seen roaming around, like the fast-running Ostrich. Kidepo Valley National Park is know for hosting the largest herds of both elephants and buffalo in Uganda, and during your adventure, you will encounter these majestic animals in the wild. Later return to the camp for Lunch.

After lunch, embark on an afternoon Game Drive that will take you through the Narus Valley to see herds of buffalo, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and hopefully some lions, leopards, and the elusive cheetah. This will also enable you to be in full sight of a variety of birds as well. After your remarkable game drive in the park, you’ll visit the local community for a memorable cultural experience.

Spend a wonderful evening with Karamojong people and have an insight of their way of life and beliefs. At the end of the 3 Days Kidepo Valley National Safari you will be able to understand why their pride makes them slow to adapt to globalization.

Day 3:  –  Kidepo Valley National Park (Scenic Viewing) – Drive to Kampala:

Wake up early in the morning and enjoy an early morning breakfast before departing the lodge. Enjoy an en-route game drive as you witness different species in the park one last time.  Proceed with your drive back to Kampala, arriving in the late afternoon. Lunch will be enjoyed en route to Kampala. You’ll be dropped off at your preffeered drop off point.
