
Being one of the hottest travel destinations of the world, Rwanda is constantly focusing on developing itself to give more enjoyable tours to its visitors. In this practice of development Rwandan government has newly developed the Congo-Nile Trail for the travelers, expats, and locals. The trail was opened in 2009, is actually a tangled network of roads that run from Gisenyi at the north end of Lake Kivu 227 kilometers south to the town of Cyangugu.
Congo Nile Trail is one of the country’s most impressive adventures routes where the travelers can enjoy hiking, biking, and kayaking.
The trail can be covered up with 10 days of the hike, five days of biking, and eight days to Kayaking. The trail provides the hikers and bikers panoramic views of the Lake Kivu coastline, bright green tea fields, and insight into daily Rwandan life irrespective of the point where they join the trail.
The trail offers plenty of activities as well which includes coffee excursions at Huye Mountain Coffee and Pfunda tea plantation general market visits, beachside naps, and nature walks.
